It’s been quite a good week for me – one I probably won’t be able to reproduce in terms of accomplishments for a while. On Sunday I took a deep breath and decided to honour a dear man from my past by joining in a challenge to make a quilt for the orphans in Romania. On Wednesday I showed a community quilt I finished quilting earlier in the week and the start on my d4p quilt. Later that same day I decided to put up a tutorial to do with nesting the SA’s in a d4p (disappearing 4 patch, my favourite block at the moment) and finally, the trip around the world quilt is done. Today, we have a little bit of progress to show on the d4p’s. I just can’t get over how beautiful they look. I turned one block wrong. Can you see it?

That is really beautiful, Rita! You had a very productive week – doesn’t it feel good? Whoop whoop!!!
Love this! D9P is one of my favoites… so fun and easy and so many options. This one is lovely.
Oh, that block is in an easy fix area. This is lovely, great fabrics and colors. Nicely Done!!
That looks like a fun block to make. I’ll have to try it! Very pretty quilt! I see the wayward block but I had to look for it:)
I’m signed up for a D4P block exchange due in September, but, we have to sew our in Civil War fabrics, AND on either a treadle or hand crank sewing machine. I’ve got my squares cut out, I just haven’t had time to sit down at the treadle to sew them.
The D9P is lovely.
Lovely quilt. I stared at the picture for quite awhile and still couldn’t find a mistake. Whatever the error is, I think it probably adds to the overall design.
