It’s not been a bad week for getting stuff done. Not the best, but not bad.
I posted earlier in the week about a client quilt I finished.
And I also reported that day about progress on the Trip around the World quilt. There’s been a bit of progress there since. The 11 strips that were sewn together and then sewn into a tube (by attaching strip 1 to 11) were cut into slices. Then you open each slice between a different pair of fabrics so that you can get the diagonal pattern going like I show. I labelled them so they get re-attached properly. If you look closely at the labelling, it starts with 1-1, 1-2 and on to 1-12. You should have cut the tubes to get 48 slices. That’s so that you can make 4 sections, all identical. This is the first of the 4, hence the “1-” part. So, my next step is to get these 4 sections created. Then comes a magic part. It’s really cool, you’ll see.
On a third front, we have a new quilt on the frame. Itsa gonna be purdy! Mind you, the picture is award-winning weird. And Oscar had to sneek in there as well. He’s going to drive me batty with needing to go outside for 10 seconds and then meowing to get back in, repeat until wits’ end or bed time, whichever comes first.
