| HOW IT WORKS | ||||
Initially
Every job begins with an
e-mail conversation. You give me ideas about what you want, maybe supplimenting
words with pictures or web addresses. I will ask questions about sizes, subject
matter. During a few question and answer sessions a draft will slowly take
shape, becoming more complete as the conversation progresses.
I can't make you happy with your design without this exchange. And you can't get to the point where you will feel confident and pleased to pay for the result. Money doesn't move until the design is ready.
After the Design Phase
Now, the design
is done and if we haven't discussed it yet, the money issue must be resolved. I
will have an electronic money exchange mechanism installed on this site very
soon: PayPal. It's a trusted and common feature of many online stores. After
the notification e-mail from PayPal has been received, I will ship the finished
pattern, usually in a mail-tube. I will include two copies: one to build on and
one to use for templates where necessary. If the final design is large I will
also include two smaller versions: one to be a master copy for piece numbering
and one to play with the colour scheme. Patterns will take into account zinc
around the outside if necessary and a line size of 2pt will be used for copper
foil work or 4pt for leaded work.
After the Stained Glass Work is done
I
would love to feature your work on my site in the Gallery. If you want to be
contacted about your piece or your services, I will include a link to e-mail
you directly. If not, you will remain anonymous. The pattern will not be
published in the gallery if you do not wish but you should let me know this
explicitly. In any case the pattern will not be published in a way that it
would be easily copied and of course it will not be resold as is.
